Saw Operative

Our client a leading manufacturing company in Peterborough are recruiting for 1 Saw Operative to work on a temporary to permanent basis.

Hours of work – Monday to Thursday 0700am-1600pm, Friday 0700am-1300pm

Pay - £12-16 per hour based on skill and experience level

Duties include:

• Working as part of a team manufacturing wood products & buildings
• Using an industrial saw to cut and shape wood to specification
• Using DIY skills to fit out wooden buildings
• Lifting & installing components into the framework as needed
• Will include heavy products/parts and two person lifts
• Other duties as needed

The successful candidates will:

• Have previous experience using Saw machine in manufacturing setting
• Ability to read drawings to understand how to cut wood
• Have good hand tool skills
• Have basic DIY and assembly skills
• Be physically able to regularly lift heavy products as two man lift
• Be able to work shifts reliably
• Preferred to have previous experience in manufacturing role
