We have some exciting opportunities for experienced Planners to join our client’s team on an interim basis.

About you:

Working as a Senior Planning Officer for our client you will be a planner with experience in development management, preferably in major developments. You will be passionate about delivering high quality developments and enthusiastic about working with developers and other stakeholders to achieve the best solutions for sites across the city. The developments you will deal with are the most significant and will contribute to the highest quality environment.

About the role:

You will be dealing with a range of significant planning applications in the city. You will either a member of the RTPI or working towards it. You will be able to apply professional logic to planning proposals, be comfortable using planning policies and guidance, and be able to communicate your recommendations effectively. You'll be working in a team and you'll be effective doing so. You'll assess proposals, negotiate with applicants and agents, and write reports. You will also deal with appeals, preparing proofs of evidence and representing the Council. You'll give pre-application advice and work with applicants to get the best proposals possible.
