Job: Maternity Cover (22 March 2021 latest to April 2022)
Location: Ilminster
Salary: £29,000 per year DOE
Hours: Mon – Thurs 8.30am to 4.30pm, Fri 8.30am to 4pm (37hours)


Summary:
Supporting the Maintenance Manager in ensuring the site is enabled to meet the demands of customers and all internal stakeholders


Key Responsibilities:

  • Adherence to all company policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and quality
  • Working positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel in order to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity
  • Promote and display Core Values
  • Control and maintenance of the TPM system ensuring all planned schedules are met in a timely manner
  • Effectively scheduling of all unplanned maintenance ensuring completion within a timely manner
  • Updating maintenance logs for all assets on the TPM system
  • Schedule of all reactive and planned maintenance for both facilities, plant and machinery
  • Uploading of manuals and service information for new and existing assets
  • Assigning asset numbers to new equipment
  • Keeping track of supply and material inventories. Purchasing of any spares required
  • Purchasing any equipment, work wear, tools that may be required for the team
  • Raising all departmental requisitions against appropriate ledger codes
  • Contractor control – New supplier set up, Carrying out new contractor site inductions
  • Monthly maintenance report – KPI’s and budget updates to be sent to the Operations Director


Experience, attributes & skills sought:

  • 5 GCSEs A*-C to include Maths and English (or equivalent)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and MRP or database experience
  • Experience of knowledge of working within an engineering manufacturing environment
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
