Our client an established company based in Shrewsbury are looking to recruit a Tenancy Manager on a permanent basis. The chosen candidate is primarily responsible for the delivery of data relating to a portfolio of residential tenancies. This role will require working directly with letting agents, property managers, accounts department and tramps set up team. The position will also require the candidate to develop and maintain a motivated and customer orientated service to ensure that service standards are achieved

Pay and Hours of Work

  • £19,000 per annum dependant on experience
  • Monday–Friday / Office Hours

Responsibilities

  • Add new and update existing tenant data to property management system
  • Set up opening balances on tenant accounts
  • Upload initial rent demands and deposit charges on tramps
  • Open Fixflo accounts for each tenancy for repairs management
  • Close tenant and Fixflo accounts at termination of tenancy
  • Maintain residential tenancy master checklist
  • Attend weekly update meeting with senior administrator to review portfolio
  • Arrange registration and confirmation tenancies with tenancy deposit scheme (TDS)
  • Manage any amendments or TDS issues arising during tenancy
  • Organise return and reconciliation of each tenant TDS account

Requirements

  • Provide support for members of the data management team
  • Work with leasehold property management to carry out new and annual anti-money laundering checks
  • Undertake all duties in accordance with agreed company procedures, management agreements and current legislation
  • Carry out all duties within ARLA and ARMA guidelines and RICS code of practice
  • Ensure that FCA regulation guidelines are adhered to in all working practices and behave in accordance with these rules and treating the customer fairly guidelines
  • Complete all mandatory online training courses in a timely manner and to take part in optional training courses as considered appropriate by the branch manager
  • Be courteous and professional in all dealing with clients, customers, contractors and public
  • Be an active team member; motivating and encouraging development of others in the management of your portfolio
  • Endeavour to remain informed of new relevant legislation and best practice guidelines
