Location: Hereford
Hours of work: Shift work (Flexiblity required, may involve weekend work)

Shifts: Mon to Fri (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am)
Shifts: Monday to Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm (Flexibility still required)

Salary: £14.14ph + Shift Allowance + O/T rate = Monday to Saturday x 1.5, Sunday x 2 (Quarterly Cash Bonus of Base)


Summary:
The purpose of this role is to work in collaboration with tool room supervisor and other team members to manufacture tooling, provide machining support to engineering services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist with continuous improvement efforts at the facility with the goals of reducing operating cost and enhancing business and production efficiency, product reliability and customer satisfaction

 

  1. Adheres to plant and department safety rules, safely operates all equipment and tools, identifies and reports safety problems

 

  1. Maintain clean and safe work area
  1. Performs all aspects of the position according to the PCC Code of Conduct and SOX guidelines
  1. Manufacture components to drawing
  1. Use company computer system to locate work orders search drawings and other required information
  1. Identify most efficient manufacturing method
  1. React to plant breakdown machining requirements
  1. Ensure product meets quality standards

  1. Must present and communicate in a professional manner
  2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of the organisation, including written, oral, email, telephone and presentation
  3. Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise work effectively
  4. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently to meet or exceed goals
  5. Has a positive ‘can do’ attitude
  6. Results driven
  7. Ability to work under moderate supervision and use own initiative



Experience, attributes & skills sought:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have experience in Tool making with relevant qualifications or time served experience
  • Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Machine experience on lathes, mills, surface and cylindrical grinds
  • CNC turn, CNC milling programming experience
