gap personnel Gloucester are recruiting for 1 machine setter to join a packaging company based in Churcham, GL2, Gloucestershire. This is an exciting new opportunity to gain full training and development to then successfully manage and oversee the day to day running of the sites packaging and forming machines.
The training is fixed on the day shift (6am - 6pm) for the first f 4 to 6 weeks. You will recieve 121 training with an experience team member to understand the operating of the sites machinery. Once trained, you will then switch to the night shift where you will be part of a team looking to achieve and improve quality and production targets, whilst ensuring the highest standards of production are met.
As a trainee machine setter you will learn and understand the following duties and tasks:
- Operating machines and complying with Health & Safety regulations
- Assist with machine and tool changes.
- Ensure the Production unit is maintained in line with company accreditation
- Use of hand tools when necessary.
- Fault diagnosing and reporting to Team Supervisor / Engineer
Working Hours
- 6am – 6pm Monday to Thursday (4-6 weeks during training period)
- 6pm – 6am Monday to Thursday
Hourly Pay Rates
- 6am – 6pm - £11.25ph
- 6pm – 6am - £12.25ph
*Please note that there is no ‘training’ hourly pay rate
Successful candidates will have experience working in similar role, although experience is not essential as full training will be provided. As part of the selection process, inductions will be held on site in line with their health and safety policies.
