Gap Professional are operating as an employment agency on behalf of its client who are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative based in Shepton Mallet on a permanent basis. Our client is one of the UK’s leading suppliers in the FMCG Market. 

Hours: Currently working 08:00am – 16:00pm, will move to 06:00- 14:00pm/14:00pm – 10:00pm fixed shift. 37.5 hours with flexibility during peak season

Salary: £17,550 per annum / £9.00 per hour

The purpose of the role is to carry out Warehouse based tasks to the required standards in accordance with the training received, Standard Operating Procedures and as instructed by the Warehouse Manager / Warehouse Front line Manager and that the companies Health & Safety requirements are met. 

Key Responsibilities:

To use any equipment in a safe and proper manner, in accordance with training received, work instructions and per manufacturers recommendations and Health & Safety.
To assist the Management/Supervision teams in maintaining the work areas in a clean and tidy condition and to the required standards.
Assisting Warehouse Manager / Warehouse Front line manager in completing daily warehouse activities which include wholesale picking, production picks, vehicle loading and unloading, put-aways, stock movements, stock counts, pallet wrapping and pulling and receipting goods in.
Any other duties as required to assist the Management of the Company Policy, Health & Safety, BRC, legal and customer requirements. Also comply with policies and procedures and assisting with agreed corrective measures where necessary.



Decision making Authority and Accountabilities:

Accountable for the fork lift pre-use checks for Health & Safety
Accountable for all forms being filled in correctly and information given to SCA’s correct.
Accountable for using CK30 handheld scanners
