WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE/COLD STORE – MELKSHAM – TEMP TO PERM - £19K

 

gap personnel acting as an employment business are recruiting for WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE for an immediate start for established fine dairy client based in Melksham. This role is on a full-time basis starting temporary with permanent opportunities available for the right candidates.

 

Our client has over 40 years’ experience manufacturing and importing dairy products across the world and are looking to add to their friendly team based in Melksham.

 

You must hold a counterbalance forklift licence for this role

 

Working hours and salary:

 

Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00

Salary – £19k

 

The successful candidate will take responsibility for:

 

  • Inspect incoming & outgoing goods and trailers – temperature checks, quality, damage, and signs of pests
  • Unload and re load stock/goods in and out of the warehouse
  • Accurately log incoming and outgoing stock onto the system
  • Quality control stock to ensure it meets the required county specifications and record onto the system
  • Rework products – re labelling & re packaging
  • Ensure stock rotational requirements are adhered to
  • Re stack pallets to maximise space
  • Liaise with client services in the event with any faults on products
  • Print labels for future packaging runs

 

The ideal candidate:

 

  • Have an in-date counterbalance licence
  • Must be IT Literate
  • Basic food and hygiene
  • Good verbal communication to liaise with other teams across the business
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • be able to work individually and as part of a team
