gap personnel are recruiting in partnership with Aldi DC Chelmsford to recruit up to 50 workers on a temporary-permanent basis in its busy Distribution centre. 

This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, successful workers will recieve a permanent contract after 12 weeks of full time work.

No experience is needed as full training will be given, previous warehouse experience in a similar role will be an advantage. 

Hours of work - Applicants can choose which shift they would prefer to work;

Day Shift - starts 0500am/0600am - 1300/1400.

Basic Pay -  £10.73 rising to £12.17 after 12 weeks of work.

Night Shift - Start 1800/2200 - 0200/0600

Basic Pay - £12.67 rising to £14.60 after 12 weeks of work. 

Shifts are 4/5 shifts out of 7 days, including weekends on a fixed rota, after starting work you will be issued with a rota for the 12 months ahead.

As an order picker, you role will ensure that the store orders are picked, wrapped & palletised accurately to ensure they are delivered in time so we al; get the products we are looking for;

Duties include; 

Driving a Lollop/PPT truck, picking products to build store orders. 

Using a Voice picking, RF gun pick system to generate items to be picked

Safely palletising picked products and building orders. 

Wrapping palletised orders & taking to marshalling areas of the warehouse 

Goods in & Goods out duties at times. 

Other Warehouse duties as required.
