Gap personnel as an employment business is recruiting for a Warehouse Supervisor on a temporary basis for a company based in Norwich

Warehouse Supervisor / Norwich Area /  / Monday to Friday / Full-time/ Competitive Salary

As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that warehouse staff are able to effectively carry out their duties, including receiving and sending deliveries, maintaining company standards of organisation and safety, and being responsible for the physical security of the building and people within it.

Your main duties will be

  • Actively encouraging the training, development, health, safety and welfare of warehouse staff in line with the company standards
  • Taking responsibility for securing the warehouse and offices at all times
  • Ensuring effective, safe, accurate and timely stock management
  • Dealing with deliveries, including liaising with suppliers and delegating processing tasks to warehouse staff
  • Organise and maintain inventory and storage area
  • Adhere to and enforce the company’s Health and Safety Policy, ensuring safe working conditions and practices within the warehouse
  • Maintain all necessary documents and records
  • Identify any areas of improvement and implement effective changes to existing work procedures and practices
  • Confer and coordinate activities with other departments
  • And any other duties that may be required by the Company
