Location: Southeast; London area
Job Role: Charger Technician
Hours: The role is on rota basis to include weekends, but this will be sporadic – 42.5 hours per week
Role Type: Permanent
Salary: £32k per annum

gap personnel Bristol are operating as an employment business and currently looking to recruit a Charger Technician for our client based in Clevedon, BS21 and to cover Southeast, London area. As a Charger Technician, you will be working closely with all departments and managers to support the delivery of business success.

 Job Responsibilities:

  • To organise & complete maintenance visits on industrial battery chargers according to manufacturer’s recommendations.
  • To replace batteries on customer sites.
  • To return maintenance documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
  • To survey customer sites for asset management purposes.
  • To advise Head Office of any sales opportunities identified during the course of duties.
  • To promote PB Design and act in a professional and diplomatic manner at all times.
  • To adhere to quality standards at all times.
  • To undertake other reasonable tasks as requested.
  • Feedback quality issues to the office.

The Candidate:

  • Health & Safety certification
  • CSCS
  • Customer accreditation eg. UKPN, National Grid, London Underground
  • Understanding of SLA, NiCd and Plante batteries
  • Electrical/electronic fault finding
  • Electromechanical installation
  • Physical ability to do the job (manual handling)
  • Attention to detail
  • Analytical problem solving
  • Good, clear, timely reporting
