Job Role: Print Assistant
Hours: Rotational shift pattern

Mornings:      Monday - Thursday 06.00 - 14.00            Friday 06.00 - 11.30

Afternoons:   Monday - Thursday 14.00 - 22.00            Friday 11.30 - 17.00

Nights:           Monday - Thursday 22.00 - 06.00             Friday 17.00 - 22.30


Hourly Rate: £12.93ph & OT rates available.

gap personnel Bristol are acting as an employment business are currently looking to recruit 10 print Assistants for our client based in Westbury, BA13. As a Print Assistant you will join a team where you will become a key and valued member providing support.

The role of a Print Assistance is to Assist the Print Operator, the role includes quality checking the production as it comes off the machine, adhering to client specific order requirements, and supporting the loading of the pallets for the dispatch team. Whilst experience can be a benefit, the site offers full training. As well as initial training, our client prides themselves with continual upskilling and investing in the longevity of their workers.

Please note as part of this role you will need to wear the set uniform, a hair net, beard snoods in specific areas, no false nails or eye lashes, minimal make up and no jewellery except a plain wedding band.

Job Responsibilities:

·        Working with a team of Print Operators to ensure production requirements are met and a high standard of quality is produced, the

·        Preparation of equipment to enable change over targets to be achieved.

·        Assisting operators with design changes on machine.

·        Ordering of Raw materials using computerised system to maintain constant supply during machine operation.

·        Loading and unloading of paper reels on and off the press.

·        Cleaning printing presses and general housekeeping to ensure hygiene standards are maintained.

The Candidate:

  • Machine operating and QA experience is desired but not essential.
  • Good communicator and team player
  • Working off own initiative
  • Proven accuracy and efficiency in your work
  • Consistently produce the highest standards of work
