Job Role: Work Shop Manager  
Hours: Monday – Thursday- 07:15am - 16:30pm & Friday - 07:15am - 12:30pm
Role Type: Permanent
Annual Salary: £28,000 - £35,000

gap personnel Bristol are operating as an employment company and currently looking to recruit a Work Shop Manager for a well-established client based in Weston-Super-Mare.

As a Work Shop Manager you will need to oversee a team of auto technicians ensure that the conversion production line and part-job bays both run smoothly. You will need to be a team player, able to work to deadlines and have the ability to use your own initiative. Our client operates to an extremely high standard so we are looking for someone who prides themselves on exceptional work and operating to the highest standard. 

Job Responsibility

·        Responsible for the efficiency and utilisation of a team of auto technicians.

·        Ensuring successful planning and distribution of job cards/workflows through the workshop.

·        Ensuring all related administration is completed to an accurate standard.

·        Ensure accurate & timely processing of all workflows to meet compliance requirements.

·        Pass all completed jobs to service costing / warranty / administration for invoicing whilst ensuring all work hours expended have been documented.

·        Ensure rectification is documented and passed to the office team for costing.

·        Operate the workshop loading system, allocating jobs to the technicians who are most suitable.

·        Deal with and upsell to customers when appropriate and enjoy hitting both personal and department targets.

  • Managing approx. 12 technicians, liaison with stores, office and engineers when needed.·  Keeping organized and tidy workshops and yard at all time.

 

The Candidate 

  • Management experience 
  •  High attention to detail
  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • Professional Manner
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, ISO, CoP an advantage.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel packages
