Job Description: Manufacturing Accounts Administrator

Gap Personnel who operate as an employment business are recruiting for 1x Manufacturing Accounts Administrator for our client.

Job Term: Temporary to Permanent

Location: Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, ST6

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am - 17.00pm (1 hour lunch)

Pay: Competitive, negotiable depending on experience

Role Overview:

  • Purchase Ledger Management: Accurately process a high volume of purchase invoices, credit notes, and subcontractor payment certificates, ensuring correct coding and authorisation.
  • Sales Ledger Management: Raise sales invoices, process customer orders and payments, deal with credit note requests, and manage customer records.
  • Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations of supplier statements and bank accounts, identifying and resolving any discrepancies promptly.
  • Query Resolution: Liaise effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to resolve all account-related queries via phone and email.
  • Financial Records: Maintain accurate and organised financial records and documentation (both physical and digital) in compliance with internal policies and regulations.
  • Month-End Support: Provide support for month-end and year-end closing procedures and assist with ad-hoc financial reporting as required.
  • General Administration: Undertake general administrative duties to support the manufacturing department and ensure efficient operation.

 

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar accounts administration role, specifically within purchase and sales ledgers.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly strong MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and personable manner.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines.
  • A proactive, flexible attitude and the ability to work both independently with minimum supervision and as part of a team.
