Senior Mill Line Operator, Deeside | Permanent Role
£40,000 – £43,000 per annum | Monday to Friday 7:30am-4pm
This is an exciting opportunity join a fast-growing global leader in Deeside and take ownership of a specialist production line, operating advanced laser-welded tube forming and roll reduction equipment in a highly technical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up, start, and operate laser-welded tube forming and in-line roll reduction equipment
- Monitor and adjust production processes to ensure products consistently meet quality specifications while minimising waste
- Carry out routine line changeovers, tooling changes, and roll pass adjustments for different product sizes and specifications
- Ensure continuous, efficient production while minimising unplanned downtime
- Troubleshoot production, mechanical, and process issues to maintain operational efficiency
- Monitor product quality throughout the manufacturing process and respond promptly to any deviations
- Work closely with maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to maximise production performance
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment, adhering to all Health & Safety procedures
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years' experience operating metal tube forming or similar continuous metal processing lines
- Proven experience working with PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment and HMI interfaces
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues
- Excellent mechanical aptitude with an understanding of tooling, roll passes, and forming mechanics
- Experience operating ERW or laser-welded tube forming lines is highly advantageous
- Knowledge of roll reduction, drawing, or similar metal processing operations
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong quality focus with the ability to identify and resolve production issues quickly
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to complete production documentation and shift handovers
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a wider production team
