Job description

Pay & Hours of Work:

·        £16.66 Per Hour

·        4on4off shifts working 2 days 6am - 6pm / 2 nights 6pm – 6am

 

Responsibilities:

·                  Co-ordinate the materials handling operations of the depot in order to achieve business objectives and the needs of the customer.

·                  Effective planning and allocation of labour resource to best meet our clients contractual obligations -  responding effectively to live changes to the resource plan

·                  Ensure that all administrative duties are carried out as necessary and to a high level of accuracy and professionalism

·                  Liaising with the site service coordinator and planners

·                  Accurate and timely reporting of weekly and monthly KPIs as set by the business and / or Customer Service Level agreements, escalating any issues to line management and customers where appropriate

·                  Using all IT based systems in the effective delivery of their role including SAP and MIT

·                  Achieving all specific objectives set in annual appraisals

·                  Ensuring that appropriate communication methods are used to provide information to both internal and external customers as required – Displaying the highest standards of customer service at all times

·                  Overseeing that all materials handling activity is undertaken in line with standard operating instructions and procedures   

·                  Supporting the management team in the provision of training and development of colleagues; completion of MHE 5 Star training for all materials handling operatives

·                  To actively identify solutions to problems and cost savings in line with continuous improvement initiatives

·                  Demonstrate the Company Values in the undertaking of their role at all times

·                  Undertaking any relevant training events in line with own personal development needs and business requirements

·                  Following the procedures for accident / incident investigation and escalating to the senior management team where necessary




 

 

Requirements:

·                  MHE license, LGV license, JCB & Hook-lift training preferable

·                  Ability to work under own initiative and as part of an effective team

·                  Capable of following instruction with accuracy and care

·                  Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements

·                  IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook), knowledge of SAP preferable

·                  Effective communication skills (verbal and written)

·                  Ability to work under pressure and react quickly to customer requirements

·                  Previous experience within a manufacturing environment / logistics organisation
