Production TIG Welder, Deeside | Permanent Role

£20.00 per hour (£41,600 per annum) | Monday to Friday 7:30am-4pm

 

Looking for permanent opportunity with a global engineering and manufacturing leader in Deeside?

We're recruiting an experienced Production TIG Welder to join a fast growing and successful production team with competitive pay, great working hours and the opportunity to work on high quality, precision-engineered products in a modern manufacturing environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

·        Perform TIG welding on stainless steel and copper-nickel components in accordance with Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)

·         Weld a variety of joint configurations and positions, including thin-wall components (≤1.5mm)

·         Complete on-site welding tests as required for qualification and quality assurance

·         Operate, maintain, and care for welding equipment and power tools

·         Carry out liquid penetrant inspections and perform self-inspection to ensure weld quality and integrity

·         Read and interpret technical drawings, welding procedures, and production documentation

·         Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and wear the appropriate PPE at all times

·         Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment

·         Support other production activities when required

 

 Skills & Experience

·         Minimum 5 years' TIG welding experience is preferred

·         Proven experience welding stainless steel, copper-nickel, and other alloy materials

·         Experience welding thin-wall components and working with multiple alloy types

·         Previous pipe welding experience, particularly thin-wall dairy or hygienic pipework, is highly advantageous

·         Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, weld procedures, and technical documentation

·         Experience carrying out self-inspection and identifying weld defects

·         Knowledge of welding gases, filler materials, and fabrication processes

·         Helium leak detection experience is desirable but not essential

·         Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a commitment to producing high-quality work
