Machine Setter/Operator

Pay & Working hours:  

• Monday – Friday working weekly rotating 06:00-14:00 & 14:00-22:00 

• £12.98 - £14.58 Per Hour  

  

Responsibilities: 

·         To manufacture a range of fixings in line with customer requirements via the Setting/Operation of a variety of metal working, power presses, cutting and wire forming machines.

·         Carry out a number of secondary tasks/processes in order to satisfy customer requirements.

·         Adhere to quality procedure ensuring products are manufactured to an appropriate standard and products conform to specified tolerances and company standards.

·         Ensure compliance with all company and legal obligations as outlined in our health & safety and environmental policies and procedures.

·         Ability to follow system and accept / apply best practice ways of working.

·         Ability to work smartly / apply Lean Principles. 

·         Able to prioritise work/tasks

·         A self-starter with a ‘can do’ attitude and works calmly under pressure

·         Able to cope with frequently changing priorities and multiple duties.

·         Excellent attention to detail and mental agility

·         Can effectively communication issues.

Requirements: 

·         Experience of working in a raw material cutting / forming environment and Operating Automatic/semi-automatic machines

·         Enthusiastic

·         Driven, consistently hardworking.

·         Able to read and understand engineering drawings

·         Flexibility
