Machine Operatives

Are you an experienced Machine Operative looking for a genuine temp-permanent role in the Deeside (CH5) area? We are proud to be recruiting for our well-established client for Machine Operatives within the printing industry.

Main Purpose of role as a Machine Operative - To convert large printed rolls of materials into the finished customer specified format, utilizing our in house finishing equipment and working to deadlines.

 

Pay & Working Hours

·         £11.44 whilst training (day shifts) rising to £13.23 once training is complete, following the below shift pattern.

·         24/7 shift pattern including days, nights and weekends – Working an average of 42 hours a week 

**YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK ALL SHIFT PATTERNS INCLUDING WEEKENDS**

 

There is a Deeside Shuttle Bus stop close to the location of the site – Buses 204, 811, D1, D2 & D3

 

Responsibilities

• To convert large printed rolls of materials into the finished customer specified format, utilizing our in house finishing equipment and working to deadlines

·         Operate within Company safety policy at all times.

·         Knowledge and ability to utilize all inspection machinery to achieve highest possible quality with maximum output and minimum waste.

·         Maintain a tidy work area at all times.

·         Conformance to Plan, Quality (frequency and scale) and Waste

·         Working with a high focus on quality and order deadlines – Understanding customer needs

 

Requirements

·         Knowledge of procedures for inspection rewind

·         Previous experience within a busy manufacturing or warehouse environment

·         Some mechanical skills, basic routine maintenance (including weekly safety and maintenance checks on all equipment)

·         Good communication skills

·         Able to work under own initiative

·         The ability to fault find and problem solve

·         Good understanding of Health & Safety

·         A reasonable level of fitness is required as the role involves some physical activity e.g. lifting & bending
