Machine operative

We are looking for experienced machine operatives to join one of our well established client in Darwen.

 

Candidates must have experience working within manufacturing environment.

 

Shift: Continental shift pattern including days and nights - 12 hours shifts - 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am so candidates must be flexible and able to commit to the shift patters.

 

Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour

 

Candidate will be involved in all aspects of operating / setting machines up, loading and unloading products onto machines while following strict health & safety guidelines.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Operating machinery to support multiple production lines

·         Read and interpret production specifications

·         Raw material replenishment to ensure production runs smoothly

·         Changeover of machines to meet product specification

·         Responsible for packing and palletising of products

·         Cleaning and inspection of work area and machinery

·         Working as a team to ensure changeover of machines is completed when required

 

Work can be repetitive and involve standing for long period of times.

  

This is an interview-based role. If successful, candidates will have to undertake a medical / drug and alcohol test to be offered the position.
