Machine Operator permanent

gap personnel are proud to be representing this manufacturing business in their search for a Machine Operator to work at their facility based near Wigan.

This is a permanent position.

Performance Objectives

• Responsible for the operation of multiple production processes.
• Required to carry out in-process quality checks using online data system.
• Make basic machine adjustments to ensure efficient operation.
• Responsible for collecting basic data to complete reports for continual improvements.
• Ensure that they comply with the Company's GMP Standard and wear the appropriate work wear, including PPE, correctly.
• Demonstrate a commitment to the highest standards of Health, Safety and Environment performance through raising observations and taking corrective action where possible.

 

 

Salary:

·         £12.20 per hour rising to £12.44 after 6 months (£26,300 annual rising after training to £27,100)

Shift rotation:

·         Continental Days & Nights (2days/2nights/4off)

·         2 days 7am - 7pm, 2 nights 7pm – 7am

Person Specification

• Applicants must be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of operational machinery.
• Capable of reading and interpreting written instruction relating to both production procedures and health and safety.
• Strong verbal communication.
• Be able and willing to receive instruction in order to carry out structure tasks relating to machine operation.
• Previous FMCG experience.
