Bending Machine Operative

Gap Personnel are currently recruiting for a skilled Bending Machine Operative to join our client in Walsall WS8.

This is an exciting temp-to-perm opportunity, with the potential to secure a permanent position after 3 months.

 

Working Hours:

• Day Shift: Monday to Thursday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, with an early finish every Friday  
• Competitive pay at £13.50 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating Press Brake and Bending Machines to bend metal components according to specification

• Setting up and Adjusting Machines to meet production targets and tolerances

• Quality Control: Conducting thorough checks to ensure all finished products meet strict quality standards

• Manual Handling: Lifting and moving heavy materials and components safely

• Reading Engineering Drawings to accurately process materials and follow production requirements

• Ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient working environment at all times

• Assisting with routine machine maintenance to keep operations running smoothly

 

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience as a Bending Machine Operator, Press Brake Operator, or Machine Operative in a manufacturing environment

• Physically fit, with the ability to handle heavy lifting and manual handling as part of the job

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards

• Reliable and punctual with a proven ability to work independently

• A good understanding of engineering drawings and job instructions (preferred but not essential)
