Job description
Gap Personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for our client in Tipton for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer.
Hours of work
7.15am to 4.15pm (Monday to Thursday) and 7.15am to 12.15pm on a Friday
Pay
£40-42K per annum dependent on experience
Job purpose
Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, to carry out essential maintenance on all aspects of the operational equipment and facilities infrastructure with an emphasis on the electrical elements.
Description and key responsibilities
• To respond to breakdowns and ensure safety standards are kept to the highest level
• Conducting electrical repairs to breakdown of machinery and equipment
• Work through a program of PPM and help develop the agility system
• Ensure machines and equipment on site are safe, working efficiently and are fit for purpose.
• Ensure adherence to all legal and safety requirements
• Undertake departmental housekeeping as required and maintain to 5C standard
• Any other duties as may be reasonably be required to commensurate with the role
Knowledge & Competencies
• Knowledge on mechanical, pneumatics and hydraulic machines
• Planned preventative maintenance scheduling
• Leadership and man management skills
• Competent problem-solving skills
• High attention to detail and decision making
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
Qualifications Required:
• Education: HND/BTEC qualification
• 18th Edition of the Wiring Regulations Experience
• 2 - 3 years of progressive experience in a maintenance department, high level of technical competency.
Desirable
• Education: Engineering Degree, Electrical qualification
• Experience: Knowledge of IATF 16949 / ISO 9001
