Job description

gap personnel are working with their client based on the Wrexham Industrial Estate for a Yard Shunter to work in their busy period

You will be responisble for the following

Manoeuvring Vehicles:

Safely moving HGVs, including articulated lorries and trailers, around the site.
Coupling and Uncoupling:

Connecting and disconnecting trailers from vehicles.
Safety Inspections:

Conducting checks on vehicles and trailers to ensure they are roadworthy and safe for operation.
Following Safety Procedures:

Adhering to strict health and safety standards to prevent accidents and injuries.
Parking Vehicles:

Ensuring vehicles are parked correctly and efficiently in designated areas.
Communication:

Coordinating with other personnel to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Essential Skills and Requirements:

HGV Licence:

A valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence is typically required, depending on the type of vehicles being moved

Hours of work are Mon-Friday 10 or 12 hour shifts
