HR & Payroll Manager

Competitive Salary

Monday – Friday / General office hours

Wrexham

Based in Wrexham, an opportunity has arisen to join an established and internationally renowned manufacturing company on a permanent basis, working within our clients HR Department as the HR & Payroll Manager.  As the HR & Payroll Manager, you will deliver a high-performance HR service.  You will be responsible for HR, Payroll, Training, Health and Safety, Reception, Pool Cars and Contractors providing Catering, Cleaning and Security Services.  To be successful in the role you will be responsible for all the company policies and procedures and that they are being adhered to, ensuring that all policies and updated and compliant with relevant employment law legislations.

Performance Objectives

·         Overall responsibility for key employment areas including HR Management, Health and Safety, Diversity and Inclusion, People Planning, Recruitment, Learning and Development, T&C’s of employment, Payroll and Employee Benefits.

·         Ensure compliance with the law and best practice.  Review and update policies and procedures.

·         Lead a busy team within a multi-faceted HR department.

·         Overall responsibility for department budget.

·         Advise and guide on management on HR related issues.

·         Develop a Learning and Development strategy.

·         Ensure sufficient staffing numbers are available to meet the changing business needs.

·         Manage discipline, grievance, capability and performance management matters.

·         Manage job evaluation process.

·         Conduct union negotiations including the annual pay award.

·         Provide health and safety advice.

·         Manage end to end payroll and management of year end.

·         Oversee pension administration.

·         Ensure that all monthly reports are carried out.

Person Specification

Essential

·         CIPD Level 5 qualification.

·         IOSH Managing Safely.

·         3-5 years-experience of working as a HR Manager.

·         Experience in managing a team.

·         End to end payroll and pension processes.

·         Collaboration in a unionised environment.

·         Proficient in MS Office.

·         Excellent attention to detail.

·         Highly confidential in nature and a team player.

·         Highly motivated and proactive.

·         Team player.

·         Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

·         Able to work to strict deadlines.

·         Requirement to occasionally travel within the UK and overseas.

Desirable

·         Degree in Business or equivalent.

·         NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.

·         Experience in an international organisation environment.

·         HR management experience in a manufacturing environment.
