Management Accountant                          

£43,041 per annum

Monday – Thursday 8am–4:30pm / Friday 8am–1pm  

Wrexham

Our client, based in Wrexham is currently recruiting a Management Accountant to join their team on a permanent basis.  You will be expected to provide timely and effective financial performance reporting and insight, underpinned by robust controls and processes. In addition, you will provide advice, information and guidance regarding management accounting matters to leaders throughout the business.

Performance Objectives

·        Compiling month end and year end accounts to strict deadlines.

·        Monthly reporting and analysis of management accounts.

·        Maintaining the fixed asset register.

·        Assisting with compiling data and reporting for KPI’s.

·        Data manipulation and analysis.

·        Monthly VAT and Duty reporting.

·        Monthly P&L forecasting.

·        Managing company stock taking.

·        Compliance with accounting governance and audit requirements.

·        Liaising with external auditors.

·        Maintaining Business Risk Review and Corporate Criminal Offence strategies.

·        Assisting with half yearly budget planning process and presentation to head office.

·        Working on Internal process improvements across the department and wider areas of the business.

·        Working with the wider organisation teams to assist in cost tracking, efficiency gains and cost saving initiatives.

·        Mentoring and coaching the team members to develop their skills.

·        Cover where required for:

o   Cash flow management.

o   Bank reconciliations.

o   Product costing.

o   Processing incoming payments for sales ledger.

o   Dealing with customer queries.

Person Specification

·        Nearly/newly qualified ACCA or CIMA.

·        Experience of producing management accounts.

·        3-5 year experience of working in a fast-paced accounts environment.

·        Excellent attention to detail.

·        Strong communication and organisational skills.

·        Highly motivated and proactive.

·        Team player.

·        Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

·        Able to work to strict deadlines.

·        Working knowledge of ERP systems.

·        Proficient in MS Office.

·        Strong Excel user.

·        Highly confidential in nature and a team player.

·        Highly numerate and literate.
