Job description
gap personnel are an employment agency and have been supporting their client with Production Operators for many years.
As they are getting busier, they are now looking to recruit a Production Operator with Soldering experience
Duties
- You will be involved with precise component placement
- Quality control of solder joints,
- Involved in general production duties like mechanical assembly and packing
- Operate and maintain manual soldering tools (like soldering irons) and automated machines (like wave or selective solder machines).
- Precisely solder components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other assemblies.
- Visually inspect finished solder joints and assembled products for defects like bridges, cold joints, or insufficient solder.
- Read and interpret assembly instructions
Skills
- Set up, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance on soldering equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve soldering-related issues, adjusting machine parameters as needed.
- Clean parts, equipment, and soldering tips
Hours of work are Mon-Thur 8am-5pm with an early finish on Fridays
This role is temporary with a possibility of going permanent
