Quality Engineer

Gap personnel are currently looking for Quality Engineer for our well established client based in Oldbury with an immediate start.

 

Straight permanent placement directly with a company. 

Shift: Monday to Thursday 8:00-16:45, Friday 8:00-13:30.

Salary: 42-45k depending of experience.

 

Key responsibilities and duties:

• ·            Ensure Quality control and Quality assurance for high volume
• ·           Review & Analyse Non-Conforming Product (NCP) on a Daily Basis. Lead the operations team in root cause analysis and continual improvement techniques.
• ·           Management of QMS and drive towards new standards IATF and ISO 14001
• ·           Using quality tools to drive continuous improvement to the business.
• ·           Assist in NPI & APQP documentation as required, including PPAP documentation
• ·        Quality management of customer and suppliers
• ·        Lead site auditing, systems, process and product. Lead costumer and external audits.
• ·        Management of small teams in a manufacturing environment
• ·        Organizational skills & Team building skills
• ·        Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications
• ·        Sound understanding of inspection techniques for Plastic Mouldings.
• ·        Knowledge of the ISO 9001 quality policies and system requirements.
• ·        Knowledge of IATF (essential) & VDA 6.3 audit Policies & Procedure Requirements
• ·        Knowledge of health & safety and environmental procedures

 

Skills and experience:

• Must have 3-5 Year experience in Quality Engineering in an Automotive Environment
•         Initiative and problem-solving abilities (Quality Core Tools)
•         Good communication and time management skills
•         Customer focused
• Conversant with Microsoft systems such as outlook, word & excel etc
