Due to continued growth, gap personnel are recruiting for an Estimator on behalf of our well-established manufacturer based in South Woodham Ferrers.
The role of Estimator is to ensure overall profitability by liaising with suppliers working directly with Project Managers.
This role would suit someone who has either worked in POS retail or in a purchasing role.
Type: Full time - Permanent position
Hours: Mon – Fri 08.00-17.00
Salary: £25,000+ Dependent on experience
Duties But not limited to:-
To prepare estimates for new jobs.
Input new quotes onto database
Accurately complete mathematical equations / formulas.
Obtain most cost-effective Subcontract quotes
Source competitive pricing of new suppliers
Ability to engage and understand customer requirements
Ensure overall profitability by liaising with Project Managers
Ability to solve issues in a professional, timely manner
Discuss projects by phone or face to face
Requirements: -
Minimum 2 years’ experience in POS Retail Estimating or Buyer
Strong written English, numeracy & organisational skills
Proficient with Excel
Strong analytical skills
Detail orientated
Excellent Communicator
Good time management skills
Well presented

We are recruiting 3 x warehouse operatives for our busy distribution company based in Basildon on a temporary basis.
You will be picking and packing orders ready for dispatch and general warehousing duties daily, including lifting using safe manual handling techniques.
Job type: Temp – perm available for the right candidate
Hours: Mon – Friday 08.30-17.30
Pay: £9.50 per hour
