We’re Hiring: Control Centre Operative
Are you passionate about helping others and making a real difference? Join our team as a Control Centre Operative and be the reassuring voice for vulnerable and elderly customers when they need it most.
Role: Control Centre Operative (Telecare)
Location: County Hall, Atlantic Wharf, Cardiff
Hours: 28 per week (rotating shifts, 24/7 service)
Grade: 4 | Temporary until 31/03/2026
£13.05/hour + shift enhancements
What you’ll do:
- Respond to emergency and priority calls with empathy and professionalism
- Provide accurate advice and support across council services
- Work collaboratively with care agencies and emergency services
What we’re looking for:
- Strong communication skills and a caring attitude
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
- Comfortable using technology and working as part of a team
Special Requirements:
- Standard DBS check
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
