gap personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently looking for ICT Network Administrator to join a busy team in a well-established client based in Hirwaun.
The role will involve working closely with existing service providers in all elements of IT Support as well as IT Project Work and Business improvements for the company. You will provide IT services and support to the company. Effective communication with all levels of the business is essential.
Contract: Temp-Perm
Start date: ASAP.
Salary: £24,000 per annum
Shifts: Monday-Thursday 07:45 – 16:30, Friday 07:45 -13:00
Job Duties:
•Build new and rebuild exiting laptops and desktops to a standard build procedure ~
•Administrate and develop company systems – ensuring users and licensing are compliant for the groups requirements
•Provide 1st & 2nd line IT Support for all employees
•Keep suitably up to date with useful technological innovations and products
•Have flexibility
•Deputise for the CTO in their absence with development, ensuring close liaison with local service providers
•Carry out regular reviews on the systems and procedures within the groups ICT service provided, ensuring a continuous improvement approach is employed
•Work proactively and autonomously in the absence of the CTO
•Effectively prioritise and manage ‘helpdesk’ type support calls, utilising the support provider
•Display personal and professional behaviour in line with company HR policies
Skills:
•GCSE in Maths & English
•3 A levels including IT related qualification
•Graduate IT related FE/HE course
•Ideally 12 months experience in IT Desk Role (not essential)
•Good level of written and spoken English with good communication skills
•Good grounding in IT Skills and knowledge with a genuine passion and enthusiasm for technology
•Confident demeanour
•Good Self-Presentation
•Willingness to take on any challenge and a ‘can-do’ approach
•Able to prioritise, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
•Excellent communication skills
•Good Team Player
