Our client is a busy manufacturing company and as such, they are looking to add new members of staff to their team.

Contract: On-going

Salary:

 1-week training Paid at £9.50 per hour   (all rates are paid in accordance to National Minimum Wage / National Living Wage) 

Pay rate after training: £10.70 P/H 

Shifts: Monday-Friday 

(Rotational) 7am - 3pm - rotating to - 3pm - 11pm   

Your duties will include but not be subjected to: 

• Working on the Production line, assembling electrical items
• Operate production equipment and carry out manual operations according to procedures.
• Quality Checking 
• Unpacking and arranging products 
• Ensure all health & Safety requirements are adhered to in the working environment
• Reporting any issues to the supervisor on site
• Perform any other work-related duties that are assigned
• Maintaining good daily productivity and meeting targets

Experience / Skills required:

• Experience of working in a manufacturing environment is advantageous, as is soldering experience, but not essential.
• You will have a can-do attitude and be a really strong team player

• You will need your own transport due to the hours of work and due to where the company is situated.

• Previous experience in a similar environment is desirable

Full training will be provided.

• Be comfortable working on a busy production line, where you are on your feet for the majority of the workday.
• You will be able to follow precise instructions

Gap Personnel are pleased to be working on this fantastic opportunity with a new business in the Blenheim area NG6 in Nottingham for an experienced Food Production Supervisor. 

The role is working in a start-up business, so you will be leading from the front, starting before the general production staff are employed and getting to know the business first hand before rolling out your knowledge and experience to your team. The ideal candidate will be proactive and assist in setting up the new business, whether that be dealing with deliveries or helping get the machinery and equipment up and running. 

We are looking for a candidate with the following experience:-

• Food hygiene certificate level 2 or above 
• Experience with running production in a food environment
• Ideally and FLT license (but not essential) 
• A very proactive outlook, happy to pitch in with new business demands

The job role will involve:-

• Ensuring the smooth production of food products 
• Training new starters
• Ensuring food hygiene standards are high and comply with H&S regulations 
• Adhering to KPI targets
