Job Title: Labelling Operative

Location: Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire

Pay: £24.897 a year

Contract: Permanent

gap personnel Gloucester, are currently recruiting for 1 Labelling Operatives on permanent contracts for a global packaging based at one of their sites in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.

 About the role:

• Operating of finishing equipment producing finished labels in compliance with company operating procedures.
• Ensure machinery runs at maximum output, bearing in mind quality, machinery limitations and health and safety.
• Adopt a “pitstop” mentality to reduce change over times, fully utilize and organise press assistants and co-operate with staggered break times to increase runt time against downtime.
• Proactively manage presses to achieve the best quality levels ensuring that all paperwork is completed and up to date and ensures traceability.
• Ensure maximum material utilization and a reduction of wastage of all materials including inks.
• Ensure machine is left in a safe manner for your shift opposite and any issues communicated clearly.
• Co-operation with all company systems including health and safety, ISO9001, BRC accreditations and all paperwork systems.
• Detail all press specifications and technical details which are required to produce jobs
• Co-operate and participate in continual improvements to the press and wider company environment.
• Carry out general duties which may include packing, sheeting and any other duties that may be required.

• Quality of printed and finished work
• On time delivery of products
• Waste minimization
• Operation of equipment to the highest levels of efficiency
• Collaborating, learning, enhancing, and improving all aspects of the department
• Communication and relationships with all staff and other departments

About you:

• Ability to work flexibly as part of a team
• Ability to maintain hygiene and procedural standards required within their industry sector
• Previous experience of working with machines (ideally in a printing, pharmaceuticals, or food environment)
• Quality conscious

Working Hours and Salary:

• 36 hours per week
• 6am – 6pm / 6pm – 6am
• 3 days on, 3 days off, 3 nights on, 8 days off (rotate)
• £24.897 a year

The role is working in a start-up business, which is new to the area. The site offers great facilities and amenities for staff plus a friendly management team. 

The job role will involve:-

gap personnel Cardiff, are currently recruiting for 5 Packers to join a plastic manufacturing company based in Ystrad Mynach, Caerphilly.

You will be joining a company that specialise in manufacturing of high quality, bespoke packaging designed for various products. As a Packer you will be responsible for making sure the product is packed correctly to a high standard.

Duties:

• Quality checking the finished product.
• Monitoring and recording faulty products.
• Packing the products.
• Manual handling to include, stacking pallets, wrapping and moving pallets on pallet trolleys.

Ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience working in factory environment or a similar role.
• Own transport due to location.

Basic Working Hours & Benefits:

• Monday to Friday 6am – 2pm or 2pm – 10pm.
• Overtimes available.
