Job Responsibilities as Junior Supply Chain Analyst

  • Be accountable for the timeous movement of stock from the external warehouses
  • GRN-ing of containers that have been receipted into external sites
  • Conducting stock moves on Maginus from external warehouses
  • Investigate any over/under deliveries from supplier into warehouse, and also for stock shunted between sites.
  • Weekly issue of driver schedule, to manage stock deliveries between sites
  • Covering any other team members as may be required from time to time

About the role:

  • Performance against daily dispatch targets, where improvement has been achieved or reason for missing required performance, and identifying action to be taken
  • Assigning work and coordinating rewind to ensure all daily despatches achieved
  • Ensuring all Despatch responsibilities as identified following are actioned
  • Coordinating dispatches from Daily Dispatch List to ensure delivery On Time In Full (OTIF)
  • Arranging Courier collection of Same Day dispatches as and when required

Based at a large storage warehouse in Carlton, Barnsley you will be responsible for picking items within a refrigerated environment selecting the highest quality goods and food items to be distributed to stores across the UK. You will be picking various food items to orders including fruit, vegetables and meat items using a headset and scanner. No previous experience is required for this role as training is provided. Speed and accuracy essential for this role. You will be moving around lots and doing lots of lifting too.

This role is for the afternoon shift on a set shift of Tuesday to Saturday and offers genuine temp to perm opportunities after 12 weeks.

How much will you get paid as a Warehouse Operative?

  • Weekdays £9.95 per hour rising to £12.45 after 6pm
