Gap Personnel who are operating as an employment agency are currently recruiting recruiting on behalf our client for Production Supervisor to work for a busy manufacturing client based in Knowsley.

5am – 2pm / 4pm – 1am

Job Role
Responsible for the entire production shift. The role requires managing of staff, equipment and resources in an optimum way to maximise throughput and minimise waste
Reporting to
Operations Manager
Main Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to lead, manage and motivate a team of staff to deliver key performance targets, safely, effectively and efficiently to meet customer specifications and requirements.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Ensure that the production plan is completed with the utmost efficiency and targets achieved.
· Ensure product is produced to customer specification and quality.
· Ensure that the company's quality, hygiene and health and safety standards are met at all times.
· Leading and developing your team to ensure optimal production effectiveness and efficiency.
· Monitor and report on line performance.
· Liaising and co-ordinating with colleagues in planning, engineering, technical and supply chain departments.
· Active part in continuous improvement activities
Knowledge & Experience
Similar experience within a customer orientated and fast paced environment is essential, along with knowledge and understand of the food industry and an understanding of the supply chain.
The ideal candidate will be customer driven, organised, able to set a good example, and an excellent communicator with some experience in supervising or managing a team

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £32,000.00 per year (overtime paid)
