Gap Personnel who are operating as an employment business are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for Warehouse operatives for a company based in Runcorn area.

Looking for Warehouse Operative to work for a lead logistics company based in RUNCORN. We will be providing free transport from Kensington McDonlands in L7.

The contract is running for 3 weeks, but could potentially run longer.

The purpose of the role is to:

To work within in a chilled environment, unloading and loading products within the warehouse.

Main duties will include:

• Unloading and loading
• Manual handling
• Packing
• Cleaning

The hours of work consist of 5 days out of 7, Monday to Sunday. Some weekend work will be required.

• £10.10ph – weekly pay

Tipping a container and checking stock quantities are correct. Moving all stock to a designated location and picking items to be delivered to stores.

Once all items are picked, candidates will be required to send the stock items to the packing area ready for distribution.

All candidates will receive full training however due to the nature of the work and the fast-paced environment; we are ideally looking for candidates to have previous warehouse or equivalent experience in a fast-paced environment

About the role:

• Performance against daily dispatch targets, where improvement has been achieved or reason for missing required performance, and identifying action to be taken
• Assigning work and coordinating rewind to ensure all daily despatches achieved
• Ensuring all Despatch responsibilities as identified following are actioned
• Coordinating dispatches from Daily Dispatch List to ensure delivery On Time In Full (OTIF)
• Arranging Courier collection of Same Day dispatches as and when required
• Relaying any failure to complete dispatches at earliest possible opportunity to Customer Service
• Able to complete delivery notes on Radius accurately as required e.g. out of office hours
• Able to pick call off orders and label as required for despatch on Radius

About you:

Here is a little more information on the role...

Based at a large storage warehouse in Carlton, Barnsley you will be responsible for picking items within a refrigerated environment selecting the highest quality goods and food items to be distributed to stores across the UK. You will be picking various food items to orders including fruit, vegetables and meat items using a headset and scanner. No previous experience is required for this role as training is provided. Speed and accuracy essential for this role. You will be moving around lots and doing lots of lifting too.

This role is for the afternoon shift on a set shift of Tuesday to Saturday and offers genuine temp to perm opportunities after 12 weeks.

How much will you get paid as a Warehouse Operative?

• Weekdays £9.95 per hour rising to £12.45 after 6pm
• Weekends £10.95 rising to £13.45 after 6pm
