gap personnel Bristol are operating as an employment agency and currently looking to recruit an Assembly Department Supervisor for a client based with in the City Centre, BS1. The Supervisor role will play a key part in the growth of the company. Our client offers a wide range of special purpose valves, which are largely for the compressed air industry and for medium sized industrial diesel engines. These include minimum pressure valves for screw type compressors and air starting valves for medium size industrial and marine diesel engines.
Overview:
Responsible for the day-to-day running of the Assembly Department, performance monitoring and managing of staff and optimising efficiencies and through put of Assembly via effective workload management and communication. Willing to undertake any project as deemed necessary to achieve operational requirements, efficiencies and improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Supervision of the Assembly Department, offering the team support, guidance, and on-going training
- Identification of slippages and report upon
- Allocate work depending on workload and to ensure SLA and deadline are met
- Liaise and support, progress, production control as appropriate
- Overdue coordination and recovery
- Support and liaise with different departments to ensure that the planning and progress of work is on track
- Responsible for Health and Safety within your department and to follow up in Manager meetings
- Support same day delivery support function
- Support with training matrix’s for continued team growth
About you:
- Previous experience of working within a manufacturing department at a Senior Level (Team leader / Supervisor level)
- Good communicator
- Adaptable
- Can demonstrate the ability to train and develop an individual
- Positive working attitude
- Attention to detail
