gap personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently looking for Assembly Operators to join a busy team in a well-established client based in Pencoed, Bridgend.
Our client is a busy manufacturing company and as such, they are looking to add new members of staff to their team.
Contract: Temporary On Going
Shifts:
Monday-Friday
1-week training Paid at £10.42 per hour (all rates are paid in accordance to National Minimum Wage / National Living Wage)
After the Training is complete you will be moving onto shifts:
7am-3pm/3pm-11pm-11pm-7am rotating each week or 12h rotational days and nights - You will be required to work all of these shifts.
Salary: £10.42 - £12.50 per hour (depending on shifts)
Your duties will include but not be subjected to:
- Working on the Production line, assembling electrical items
- Operate production equipment and carry out manual operations according to procedures.
- Quality Checking
- Unpacking and arranging products
- Ensure all health & Safety requirements are adhered to in the working environment
- Reporting any issues to the supervisor on site
- Perform any other work-related duties that are assigned
- Maintaining good daily productivity and meeting targets
Experience / Skills required:
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment is advantageous, as is soldering experience, but not essential.
- You will have a can-do attitude and be a really strong team player
- You will need your own transport due to the hours of work and due to where the company is situated.
- Previous experience in a similar environment is desirable
- Flexibility to work all rotating shifts

- You will have a strong work ethic,
- Be comfortable working on a busy production line, where you are on your feet for the majority of the workday.
- You will be able to follow precise instructions

Pay & Working hours
- £10.50-£11.05 per hour
- 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday
Overtime:
- Mon-Sat OT at £14.50 per hour
- Sun OT at £18.50 per hour
Key activities will include:
- Carrying out laboratory testing to high standards of quality, safety and efficiency
- Ensure that records are kept and filed correctly to satisfy the requirements of the laboratory management system
