Job Description
Gap Personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting a CNC setter to join their manufacturing company based in the Aberdare area.
Our client is a busy aerospace manufacturer. As such, they are looking to add new members of staff to their team. This role requires a high level of attention, accuracy and a previous working history in this role is desirable.
Start Date: ASAP
Shifts: 7.00am – 4.30pm, Monday – Thursday
Pay rate: £13.00 - £20.00hr negotiable
We are looking for a CNC Milling Machine Programmer – Setter / Operator.
- Must have experience in Haas and or Fanuc Control Milling Machines.
- Must Be able to Square / Clock Vices and Fixtures.
- Must be able to set part Datums using Probe / Wobble Bar etc.
- Must be able to understand tooling needed to produce required finishes and features, load tooling and set Machine Tool Length Offsets.
- Must be able to understand G&M Code programming and make changes where necessary to achieve required part dimensions.
- Must be able to read and understand Engineering Drawings and tolerances.
- Must be able to use measuring equipment to check and maintain correct part dimensions and tolerances.
The candidate will be responsible for setting and maintaining 8 CNC Milling machines, (6 Haas control & 2 Fanuc control).
They will also manage a team of operators, provide training to the operators, carry out Quality control for the machines / operators and be responsible for the day to day running and organisation of production, operating machines themselves when and where required.
