Our client based in the Holywell area is currently looking to recruit a Cost Coordinator on a permanent basis to support and manage project orders in accordance with customer specifications and existing ISO 9001 internal/external procedures.
Performance Objectives
- Costing of technical bids and quotations in response to client enquiries by working closely with internal sales team.
- Liaising with the manufacturing teams to estimate associated costs/timings.
- High level planning and forecasting of production activities to assist in providing accurate project lead times working closely with operations team.
- Reviews and analyses specifications, manufacturing processes and quality issues impacting cost.
- Obtain quotations for all non-standard project materials and services meet the specified requirements.
- Provide necessary cost engineering support for orders received.
- Generate ‘Bills of Materials’ on company ERP system.
- Continuous improvement and development of approved vendor list working closely with purchasing team.
- Work in an environment where diversity of people, thoughts, opinions, and ideas are valued and encouraged.
Person Specification
- In-depth knowledge of materials such as steel grades, iron, aluminium, alloys.
- Knowledge in process and production times, assembly methods for manufacturing of various parts.
- Experienced user of the full Microsoft Office package.
- Technical background is essential.
- Previous experience of ERP systems desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
- Ability to evaluate design feasibility while checking and reviewing technical drawings.
- Knowledge of welding, fabrication, and NDT with regards to ASME/ASTM standards.
- Knowledge of various design standards (i.e., ASME, PED, ISO, API, NORSOK, ATEX etc.).
- Confident in working alone or unsupervised when required.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, communication skills and telephone etiquette.
- An ability to deal with people at multiple organisational levels.
- Experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Process Industries would be an advantage.

Responsibilities
- To ensure packing lines are run efficiently to ensure daily targets are met.
- Effective supervision of tool changeovers with minimum disruption.
