Electronic Engineer
We are recruiting on behalf of our client who are industry experts within Electronics and Aviation. This is a permanent, full-time position.
The role of the Electronic Test Engineer is to efficiently operate in a test lab environment, test Products, fault diagnostics, design, development, and implementation of both manual and automated test sets/systems.

Salary
£34,000 dependent on skills and experience.
Duties (but not limited to)
- To collaborate closely with Engineering and support transitional activities of maturing products from Engineering into Production Test.
- To comply, maintain and promote practices and processes in accordance with the Company’s Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental Management Systems.
- Ensure product meets performance and quality requirements through product testing in accordance with acceptance test procedures.
- To conduct root cause investigation, propose appropriate corrective actions and generate failure reports.
- To support verification testing because of obsolescence.
- To be able to perform soldering to IPC standards.
- To design, develop, implement, and verify both automated and manual test systems and rigs with the appropriate circuits, tools and scripts for testing electronic assemblies and systems.
- To carry out any other tasks where reasonable and relevant, when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelors/Masters in Electronics/Electrical
- HND in Electronics/Electrical or equivalent
Experience
- Practical experience on the bench, production testing and fault finding.
- Experience in the design, build and commission of manual and automated production test sets.
- practical power electronics and/or analogue electronics-based circuits (switch mode power supplies)
- Test equipment such as bench supplies, oscilloscope, DVM, spectrum.
- Ability to solder.
- Knowledge of different switch mode topologies, how they work and the different benefits and limitations of each.
- Communicates effectively in English Language.
