Hours: 40 hours per week (with some flexibility to cover business needs and traveling as and when required)

You will be responsible to provide an excellent level of customer service to all their customers by attending sites and rectifying snagging issues ensuring customers are happy with the end result.
Main Duties include:
- This includes self-coved vinyl, welding and ensuring that on each job, there is a high standard of floor preparation undertaken. It would be an advantage to be able to fit contract flooring.
- Ensure flooring products are fitted to a high standard and checked before the end of each day and ensure sites are left clean, safe & tidy.
- Carrying out and meeting high standards of fitting for all types of carpets, cushion vinyls, LVT, wood flooring and laminate including commercial flooring at times.
- Ensure any paperwork relating to the job is collected and returned in a timely manner to the HB Account Assistant
- Ensure that Customer Satisfaction forms are obtained for each job.
- Responsibility for any trainees placed with you in their workmanship and with regard to health and safety.
- Attend operations meetings and Tool Box talks as directed
- Keep any vehicles you are individually responsible for in a clean & tidy condition, inside and out.
- Ensure that you and your team are presentable, always wearing correct uniform and PPE.
- Ensure that you and your teamwork in a safe manner by complying with health and safety regulations, both at head office and on clients’ sites, and be aware of method statements and risk assessments and COSHH information issued.
- Ensure you assess site conditions in connection with project work sheet prior to commencement to avoid wasted labour and resources.
- Follow the clients’ working procedures and directions for work at all times
- All non-compliance of employees to be reported back to the relevant line manager
- Look after tools, equipment, and company property.
- Undertake any other responsibilities that the Operations Director considers reasonable to request of you.
- Attend and undertake customer care jobs and remedial works to rectify issues that arise following the installation of the flooring.
- Identify the flooring issues at customers’ homes and determine if they are due to manufacturing installations or a site-based fault and report back to the HB Account Assistant with advice on next steps.
- Accurately update and send reports using the online company reporting system when on site.
The role requires:
- Excellent communication and people skills; able to communicate to a wide variety of people, e.g., clients, office management team, work colleagues, fitters, trainees, and site personnel.
- Excellent fitting and floor preparation skills.
- Proven track record in and knowledge of all aspect of flooring
- The ability to manage fitters and trainees to ensure the job gets done properly and to a high standard to meet programs set by HB Accounts & CC Manager
- A sound commercial approach to problems and solving them
- Professional, courteous, and positive attitude as the role will be customer facing
- Basic IT skills and an ability to keep accurate records using tablet-based reporting systems
- Good time management skills
- Flexible in location and daily working patterns
- Fitting commercial fitting works would be advantageous.
- Must be able to drive up to a crafter size vehicle with a clean UK Driving License
