Job Title: Production Operative ( Machine Operator )
Location: Tewkesbury
Salary: £24 k - £27k DOE
Contract: Permanent
gap-personnel are currently recruiting for perm role of Production Operative ( Machine Operative ) for one of the companies in Tewkesbury.
As a Machine Operative you will work in a busy production environment, to operate an enclosing machine to support the daily volume of work required to be dispatched on time and in full, meeting Client’s service level agreements.
Main Duties and responsibilities:
- Set and operate enclosing machine following work orders and Client specific instructions.
- Support the daily production volume in line with Client service level agreements and targets set.
- Manage all aspects of the machine enclosing process, ensuring stock is replenished in time and workload is planned effectively to maximise output.
- Adhere to company processes and checks in place – quality, enclosing & dispatch.
- Report any issues whether print quality, machine or stock to Management
- Successful candidate will have pro-active approach and will work closely with planning and production managers to understand and action the daily dispatch plan to ensure the daily SLA is achieved. Will also have a positive ‘can do’ attitude by providing effective commitment for holiday or absence cover in goods in and goods out teams.
Working shifts and hours
- 37.5 Monday to Friday 7-3, 3-11, 11-7 ( Rotational shift )

Pay & Working hours
- £10.50-£11.05 per hour
- 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday
Overtime:
- Mon-Sat OT at £14.50 per hour
- Sun OT at £18.50 per hour
Key activities will include:
- Carrying out laboratory testing to high standards of quality, safety and efficiency
- Ensure that records are kept and filed correctly to satisfy the requirements of the laboratory management system
