Our client is looking for a Maintenance Operative to join their team in LS9, Leeds.
Salary: £12.01-£14.42 per hour
Location: LS9, Leeds, West Yorkshire
Shift: Monday-Friday 08:00-16:30
Duties:

Conduct routine inspections of machines, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs. Perform repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on mechanical systems as required. Address issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure the safety and comfort of occupants.

Carry out a range of general maintenance tasks. Repair or replace damaged machines, fixtures, and equipment.

Maintain a safe and secure environment by promptly addressing any hazards, such as broken windows, loose handrails, or damaged flooring. Ensure that fire safety equipment, alarms, and emergency exits are in good working condition. Report any security concerns or incidents to the appropriate personnel.

Operate and maintain various tools, machinery, and equipment required for maintenance tasks. This may include power tools, lawn mowers, pressure washers, and other specialized equipment. Conduct regular inspections, cleaning, and servicing to ensure their optimal functioning.

Keep the facility clean, organized, and presentable.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance schedules. Report any significant findings, recurring issues, or maintenance requirements to the appropriate supervisor or department.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and safety standards. Stay updated on industry best practices and participate in training programs to enhance knowledge and skills.

Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities, report progress, and address any concerns or requests.
