Job Purpose
Under the direction of the Production Manager, to lead the maintenance function in providing a reactive and proactive, multi skilled maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Schedule plant maintenance to reduce breakdowns and improve equipment performance and reliability and to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Plan and Lead maintenance activities to meet building regulations and Health & Safety at Work Act.
- To ensure planned work allocated to the team is completed within agreed time frames to departments high standards and work is correctly documented.
- Adhere to Quality Management System and Environmental Management system.
- To liaise and communicate with suppliers and internal customers.
- Ensure routine calibration and maintenance requirement of a variety of electro mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- To oversee the maintenance of the site by providing hands on mechanical and electrical expertise.
- To manage continuous improvement work projects.
- Identify individual training requirements of your team as well as performance management.
- Ensure adherence to all legal and safety requirements.
- Undertake departmental housekeeping as required and maintain to 5C standard.
Any other duties as may be reasonably be required to commensurate with the role.
Person Specification:
- HND/BTEC Level qualification
- 5 years previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong people manager
- Electrical qualification desirable

Our client is looking for machine / warehouse operatives to join the team in fast-paced production department.

Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or installation of timber, aluminium or PVCu products would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.

Shift: 7.30am-4pm – Monday to Friday
Pay: £10.50 per hour
Duties will include but are not limited to operating timber machine, using hand / power tools, operating CNC machines, assembling, picking and packing, loading and unloading vehicles.
Heavy lifting will be involved, so candidates must be physically fit!
Successful candidate will need to have excellent attention to details, good level of numeracy, exceptional time keeping and attendance, solid work history and ideally previous experience in similar environment.
