Material Control Manager
Salary dependant on experience
4 on 4 off / Days & Nights
Wrexham
Our client based in Wrexham area is currently recruiting a Material Control Manager on a permanent basis. This post presents a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to progress their career with our client.
Performance Objectives
- Need to ensure that all product leaving the production lines meets the agreed specification as documented by the Technical Department.
- Ensure all absence and holiday documentation is kept up to date.
- To control and organise labour on the lines to minimise overtime.
- To always manage the production lines ensuring the best use of equipment and lines to achieve plan.
- Make use of the Material Control System and team to ensure correct materials are brought to line at correct time.
- Ensure that all relevant staff are fully trained and competent.
- To undertake disciplinary action where appropriate and generally ensure high standards of discipline within the department to the level of verbal warning. With sufficient training, this will include written warnings.
- Assist with stock rotation and control.
- Keep lines clean and tidy to comply with best G.M.P practice.
- Upkeep of relevant electronic records and reports.
- Upkeep of all Company policies and procedures throughout the department.
Person Specification
- Qualified to City & Guilds / NVQ qualification in Food and Drink.
- Experience gained in manufacturing or hospitality kitchens.
- To a competent level needed to complete numerate and literate tasks and duties.
- Ability to lead by example.
- Ability to delegate tasks to subordinates.
- Time served experience in a production environment.
- To vary the resources of the department in consultation with the manager

Materials Testing Technician
Our client is a leading provider in construction materials testing that maintains the highest standards of excellence and customer care. We are currently recruiting for a Materials Testing Technician to join their team in Bangor on a temporary to permanent basis.
Pay & Working hours
- £10.50-£11.05 per hour
- 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday
Overtime:
- Mon-Sat OT at £14.50 per hour
- Sun OT at £18.50 per hour
Key activities will include:
- Carrying out laboratory testing to high standards of quality, safety and efficiency
- Ensure that records are kept and filed correctly to satisfy the requirements of the laboratory management system
- Checking, cleaning and maintaining test equipment
Desirable but not essential:
- C or above in GCSE Welsh or English, and Mathematics or Science
- Driving license
