Production Operator
We are proud to be working with a small but busy manufacturing company based in Ruthin for a Production Operator
My client manufacture components for the t automotive market.
All employees must undertake all tasks required in the manufacturing and subsequent despatch of goods to the Customer.
For the company to grow it requires additional skills within the work force.
Additional skill required in this position is the ability to be trained to take responsibility for the Quality System.
The Company presently accredited to both TS 16949 and ISO 9000.2008
Responsibilities
- Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
- Collect all material and equipment needed to begin the process
- Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components
- Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications
- Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
- Check output to ensure highest quality
- Packing and Dispatch duties
- Maintain equipment in good condition
- Keep records of production quantities and time
- Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
Requirements
- Proven experience as assembler desirable
- Technical knowledge and ability to read simple drawings etc.
- Ability in using tools (e.g. gauges) and machines (e.g. swager)
- Good understanding of quality control principles
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition
- Good education - GCSE – English, Maths, Science desirable
- Basic IT Skills
Hours of work are
Mon-Thur 8am-5pm with a Friday finish at 12noon

Duties

Materials Testing Technician
Our client is a leading provider in construction materials testing that maintains the highest standards of excellence and customer care. We are currently recruiting for a Materials Testing Technician to join their team in Bangor on a temporary to permanent basis.
Pay & Working hours
- £10.50-£11.05 per hour
- 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday
Overtime:
- Mon-Sat OT at £14.50 per hour
- Sun OT at £18.50 per hour
Key activities will include:
- Carrying out laboratory testing to high standards of quality, safety and efficiency
- Ensure that records are kept and filed correctly to satisfy the requirements of the laboratory management system
- Checking, cleaning and maintaining test equipment
Desirable but not essential:
- C or above in GCSE Welsh or English, and Mathematics or Science
- Driving license
