An exciting opportunity exists to join our new bespoke clean room in Ross-on-Wye that has recently benefited from multi-million pound investment and impressive growth. The company requires an experienced Production Team Leader to come in at the start and assist the Plant Manager to develop the systems, finalise processes, and build a team manufacturing a product offering that will always be in high demand.
Position Summary
This role is key to ensuring successful Safety, Quality, Planning and Productivity of assembly processes through effective leadership of a team in a Clean room Manufacturing Facility following GmP.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Team Leader will have responsibility for the production process, coordinating all relevant production activities and operations in their area of control and will drive continuous improvements and the day-to-day safety and productivity of the department.
In this role you will have a varied range of responsibilities and duties; you will assist in scheduling and driving production, identify and promote efficiency gains within the assembly team and ensuring health and safety is championed throughout all production areas with a focus on hitting delivery targets.
This role would suit a person who is able to demonstrate excellent problem-solving and reasoning skills whilst showing a keenness to train others and promote best practice.
Experience Requirements:
· Experience of managing a team of operatives and overseeing their workload
· Train, maintain and develop team member's skills within the dept.
· Basic understanding of lean management techniques
· Practical experience of following and applying health and safety standards
· Ensure the upkeep of machinery within the department
· Experience of working in a production environment
· Experience of Clean rooms is desirable but not essential as training will be given
The Successful Candidate Will Be Someone Who:
· Demonstrates good organizational skills
· Has an ability and willingness to train, coach and motivate others
· Is capable of setting and maintaining excellent standards for the team
· Has the ability to work under pressure
· Has the desire to deliver the right product, on time in full, all the time.

Working hours:
Monday to Friday, 40-hour contract.
Shift Patterns:
8am - 5pm
