Based in Wrexham, an opportunity has arisen to join an established and internationally renowned manufacturing company on a permanent basis as a Senior Finance Officer. The Senior Finance Officer manages the Accounts Payable / Receivable section and will take the lead in other areas while supporting other team members. The successful candidate will have a minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position ideally within a manufacturing environment and with experience of international trade.
Performance Objectives
- Managing Accounts Payable and providing cover for the Accounts Payable Assistant.
- Managing Accounts Receivable for a small number international and local customers.
- Preparing BACS, bank and cheque payments for UK and international vendors as required.
- Petty Cash Management.
- Accruals and Prepayments.
- Master data maintenance.
- Providing cover for other members of the Finance team.
- Reviewing and updating internal procedures for processes as required.
- Assisting with half yearly company stock checks.
- VAT return.
- Monthly and Quarterly Reporting.
- Budgets / Forecasts.
- Preparing Year End accounts.
Person Specification
- 2+ years-experience in a similar role.
- SAP experience.
- Microsoft Excel competent.
- Strong communication skills (written and oral).
- Capacity to work to tight deadlines, effectively prioritising own workload.
- Good organisational skills and a flexible approach.
- AAT qualified, or equivalent relevant qualification.

Responsibilities
- To ensure packing lines are run efficiently to ensure daily targets are met.
- Effective supervision of tool changeovers with minimum disruption.
