gap personnel Exeter, working in partnership with highly reputable client Gazco Stovax are currently looking for Welders on their twilight shift based in Exeter.
You will be joining a team that are due to see a significant increase in production due to the seasonality of their product. This role requires attention to detail and previous experience of using hand tools and being able to work to production deadlines. The metal shop department provides all pre-cut, fabricated and machined parts ready to pass through to the assembly departments.
The site boasts superb onsite facilities with large car-park, fully fitted kitchen and dining area, vending machines, showers, dry rooms and much more.
As a Welder your duties will include:
- Assembling of metal parts
- Cutting, finishing, labelling
- Paint spraying (once trained)
- Operating a press brake
- Quality control checks of finished product
- General housekeeping around the warehouse and production areas
- Ensuring all health & safety standards are adhered to at all times
- The available shifts and Pay:
Monday - Thursday, 2pm – 10pm, Friday, 2pm – 7.30pm
£12.64ph (includes 20% shift premium)
Key skills; metal work, factory, milling, fabrication, machine operating, spray painting, press brake, quality control
Successful candidates will be pro-active team workers, liaising and co-operating with all members of staff. Pay & Working hours
- £10.50-£11.05 per hour
- 8 hour shift - Monday to Friday
Overtime:
- Mon-Sat OT at £14.50 per hour
- Sun OT at £18.50 per hour
Key activities will include:
- Carrying out laboratory testing to high standards of quality, safety and efficiency
- Ensure that records are kept and filed correctly to satisfy the requirements of the laboratory management system
- Checking, cleaning and maintaining test equipment
